9/8/13 Week 1 Buccaneers at Jets Tailgate Party Video

It was a great day to kick off the season and once again the Jets were home for week 1 in the NFL. As far as the game, it was full of story lines as the Jets started their rookie QB Geno Smith and Ex Jet and former best defensive player Darrelle Revis returned with his new team after a less than pretty split. The Jets prevailed in the end of a nail biter of a game.

As far as the tailgate party, it is a TailgateJoe tradition that the first home game is always our Mexican themed tailgate. This year we had a great spread with a taco bar that had beef, chorizo, chicken fajita, and our famous Carne Asada made with Creekstone Farms Prime Grade skirt steak. Of course this was in addition to other great tailgate fare.

Check out some great video from week 1:

We’re from England and this was our first NFL game on US soil. Had a really nice couple of hours before the game, great food and drink.

Despite not being Jets fans, we will definitely be heading over to TGJ again next year.
